The Alternative Trophy

November 9, 2009

Most sports associate winning with trophies. The purpose of trophies is to let everyone know that a certain person won at something. That is why most trophies are big and intricately designed. That is because they were meant to catch the attention of people who managed to steal a glimpse at it. However, these big trophies are usually quite expensive. Some are even made of materials that can cause quite a financial catastrophe. They need not be of similar design. Custom flags could be alternative trophies.

Flags are actually incredible sources of information. This is because they were designed to convey information at the least expense possible. They use different signs and symbols that mean a lot of things. This means that they are versatile communication tools and effective means of conveying victory.

Flags were also used as trophies during the medieval ages. Champions of jousting matches were usually awarded flags or banners. Nowadays, you can have custom flags made to suit the tournaments that you hold as important. This means that you can have a flag designed the way you want it to be designed. Just bear in mind that you have to come up with the right colors to bring out the best in it and the right symbols to send the right message. After all, you’ll want the flag to be used as a memory item. Something that will remind the winner about the tournament that he invested in. There is more to the trophy than a symbol of winning. Champions can also remember their worthy opponents.
